jungle adventures

hahhahaha!!!

I havent posted a thing until now, 46 days after my original post.

I´ve wrote in my journal quite a bit so as a means of backing it up electronically i think i´ll have to do a big copy session.

I´m a good typer so it´s ok i´ll smash it out in 10 minutes and you´ll have plenty to read if you´re interested.

At the moment i´m just chilling in Rurrenabaque after an amazing jungle adventure with some native indians who led us around the jungle. in the Amazon basin.

Think hectic style floating along a caymen infested river in a raft with numerous rapids we had to steer clear of. failing in that our raft broke and so now we just have a log to cling on to for dear life.

Our german friend was freaking thinking he was going to die, and looking back that well could have happened but i was just in the moment enjoying it and taking the challenge on.

We were picked up by a tourist boat as we were trying to make our way back to the other side of the river, so in a way we cheated just a tad.

On the last day of our trip it pissed down and consequently that was the wettest night of my life. still, i was content. When your expectations of comfort are so low you realise you can be happy and sleep tight even when you´re soaked to the skin, itching with mosquito bites and having to put up with wimpy isrealy girls.

The tour guides themselves grew up most of their life in a hunter gatherer environment, speaking their native dialict of Aymara and only learning spanish later on in life as to become tour guides.

They´re like children! in a good way, i mean, they find joy in the smallest of things and laugh every 2 seconds. Big smiles, all the time. When they´re hungry, they get food. when they´re tired, they sleep, when they want chicks, they drive round the town and caveman the closest one they can find. awesome delux.

what a life.

talk soon
